It feels good to help others feel good. That's why I love my job. For the past ten years I've been blessed with a career in therapeutic massage. Please allow me to facilitate a relaxing and powerful session for you. Intention, Knowledge, and Skill are the key elements of any therapy. I invite spirit to guide my intentions while knowledge and skill anchor my practice.

Eastern and Western massage techniques are combined to tailor the most effective massage for you. Swedish, Deep tissue, Sports, Acupressure, Reflexology, Shiatsu, Esalen, Lomi Lomi, and Energy work are some of the techniques in which I am trained. An understanding of Human Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, Oriental theory (Chi) and Vedic philosophies (Chakras) are guiding principles in my work. Music and aroma therapy enhance each session.

You have experienced the relaxing power of moist heat. Your massage room is equipped with a Hydrocollator . This is a moist pad heating unit that is used by Physical and Massage Therapist to prepare muscles for more effective manipulations. Your lotions and oils are also heated. Your treatment takes place on a professional table with clean linens and a comfortable face cradle.

I am usually able to schedule appointments far apart. This way you get plenty of undivided attention and never feel rushed. My rates are affordable and incentives are given for repeat clientele.

I also provide massage instruction to couples or Massage Therapists who wish to improve their skills and increase repeat business.

Training and Credentials:

BODY
At the Hilo School of Massage in Hilo, Hawaii a team of experts introduced me to the academic study of Massage. A Registered Nurse taught us Anatomy and Physiology. A doctor of medical anthropology and acupuncture illuminated oriental, medical theories as he explained Shiatsu techniques. And, a career body worker of 20 years shared her knowledge of many massage modalities: Swedish, Sports, Traeger, Rolfing, Lomi Lomi and energy work. I graduated in 1993 and was subsequently licensed in June of 1994.

MIND
At the University of Hawaii at Manoa (Honolulu), I studied Psychotherapeutic Modalities in the Counselor Education Department. I received a Masters Degree in Education, Counseling and Guidance in 1996 and subsequent Licensure in 1997.

SPIRIT
I studied belief systems at the University of Hawaii in Hilo where I received a B.A. in
Comparative Religious Studies.
